The Diocese of Zhumadian ( Latin : Dioecesis Ciumatienensis ) is a Roman Catholic diocese based in Zhumadian in the People's Republic of China .

history

Pope Pius XI founded the Apostolic Prefecture of Chumatia with the Breve on March 2, 1933 from cessions of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Nanyangfu . On November 9, 1944, she was raised to the rank of Vicariate Apostolic .

With the Apostolic Constitution Quotidie Nos it was raised to the diocese on April 11, 1946.
