Clientele

The software BITMARCK is currently in the company health insurance , the guild funds , the DAK health and other insurance funds used. Bitmarck's customers currently include around 100 health insurance companies with a total of 26 million insured persons. For the most part, the software is also operated in BITMARCK's own data centers.

iskv_21c and BITMARCK_21c | ng

The ISKV basic system, which was still used by the health insurance companies until the end of 2015, whose Unix user interface was now out of date, has now been completely replaced by the new development iskv_21c. 21c stands for 21st Century . iskv_21c is based on a client-server architecture with the components Java , DB2 (database) and JBoss ( application server ). The first pilot insurers started using the new software in 2006, with the IKK classic the last health insurer was converted to the new software solution in December 2015. In 2016 it was decided to merge the software iskv_21c together with the originally optionally available integration platform 21c | ng to form the new GKV product standard "BITMARCK_21c | ng". This is to be implemented across the board from January 1, 2017.

With the conversion of the DAK health from the old system "Dakidis" to the new "BITMARCK_21c | ng" and the "Go Live" on September 3, 2018, BITMARCK has, according to its own statements, "largest IT project in the European healthcare system successfully completed ". The data of a total of 5.8 million insured persons were transferred from the old system to "BITMARCK_21c | ng" in several steps.

Current

At the end of 2017, the company moved to a new office building in the Europa Center on Kruppstrasse, Essen. The company merged all three locations from Essen into one.

In November 2018, the contract of the managing director Andreas Strausfeld was extended ahead of time to 2024 for a further four years.
