The Bitternbek is a right tributary of the Buckener Au in Schleswig-Holstein . The river has a length of approx. 3.2 km and forms the border between the Rendsburg-Eckernförde and Steinburg districts several times . It rises in the area of ​​the municipality of Aukrug south of the Boxberg and flows east of Grauel into the Buckener Au. The upper course of the Bitternbek is dammed for several fish ponds .
