Bitty McLean
Bitty McLean (actually Delroy McLean , * 8. August 1972 in Birmingham ) is a British reggae - singer and songwriter .
biography
McLean first studied sound recording and media in Liverpool . Later he worked as a technician in the studio of the reggae band UB40 and joined their concerts in the opening act on. With the debut single It Keeps Rainin '(Tears from My Eyes) he had the first and biggest hit of his solo career in the summer of 1993. The song was first number two in the United Kingdom , a little later number five in Austria and number 31 in Germany . With Pass It On , McLean made it into the UK charts a second time, this time at number 35.
Another Top 10 hit followed in January 1995 with Here I Stand . The accompanying album Just to Let You Know climbed to number 19 in the UK charts in the spring. The fourth successful release, Dedicated to the One I Love , rose a quarter of a year after Here I stand to 6th place in the United Kingdom and 52nd place in Germany. What Goes Around only made it to number 36 on the English charts in the summer of that year.
From 1995's Natural High album, Over the River and We've Only Just Begun reached top 30 positions, while Nothing Can Change This Love and Natural High had to be content with lower rankings. The last time, albeit briefly, was the chart entry in 1996 with the single She's Alright . The album Respect advertised on the single cover never appeared.
Bitty McLean is still active today and has released various other albums, but commercial success was no longer a result.
