Biyouna (* 13. September 1952 in Algiers , Algeria as Baya Bouzar ) is an Algerian actress , dancer and singer .

Life

Biyouna is the sister of the singer Leila Djazaria . During her childhood she learned to dance and to play several musical instruments. So she began her music career as a tambourine player in her sister's group. Already at the age of 17 she performed in different cabarets in Algiers. After establishing herself as a dancer and singer, she attended drama castings and was finally hired by Mustapha Badie for the Algerian television film La Grande Maison of the novel by Mohammed Dib for the role of Fatma. As an actress, she mainly worked either for Algerian television or toured the country with one-person plays. She only appeared in two Algerian cinema productions, in 1977 in Sid Ali Mazif's drama Leïla et les autres and in 2002 in Ghaouti Bendedouche's drama La voisine . In recent years, however, she has appeared in several international and French productions such as Marfouz and the women , source of women and most recently in Diven im Ring .

With Raid Zone Biyouna released her first music album. Only 6000 units were sold. Her album Blonde dans la Casbah , which was released in 2007, was a great success with over 600,000 copies sold.

Biyouna lives in a suburb of Algiers with her husband and their four children.
