Björn Hellberg (born August 4, 1944 in Borås ) is a Swedish sports journalist and writer .

Life

Björn Hellberg was born on August 4, 1944 in Borås in the southern Swedish province of Västra Götalands län and grew up in Laholm , a little further south , in the province of Hallands län . He worked as a sports journalist and is considered an expert in tennis in Sweden . He is known to a wide audience as a television personality from the guessing program På spåret (Eng. On the rails ) on Swedish television .

Since the early 1980s, he has also published numerous crime novels, some of which have been translated into German. He is best known for its previously 23-part series with the chief inspector Sten Wall, which in the fictional Skåne plays Stad small town.

Laholm made him an honorary citizen.
