Blaine Harden

Blaine Harden (* 1952 ) is an American journalist and writer . His book Escape from Camp 14 , which describes the story of Shin Dong-hyuk , became an international bestseller.

Career

Blaine was a correspondent for The Washington Post for 28 years , working in Asia, Eastern Europe and Africa as well as New York and Seattle. For four years he worked as a local and national correspondent for the New York Times and wrote articles for the New York Times Magazine. He then wrote for The Economist , PBS Frontline, Foreign Policy , National Geographic, and The Guardian . He lives in Seattle .
