Blaise-Ernest Morand

Blaise-Ernest Morand (born September 12, 1932 in Tecumseh ) is a Canadian Roman Catholic priest and former bishop of Prince Albert .

Life

Blaise-Ernest Morand was ordained a priest on March 22, 1958 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him coadjutor bishop of Prince Albert on April 22, 1981 . He received his episcopal ordination on June 29th of the same year by Prince Albert's Bishop Laurent Morin ; Co- consecrators were Eugène Philippe LaRocque , Bishop of Alexandria-Cornwall , and James Patrick Mahoney , Bishop of Saskatoon .

After Laurent Morin's retirement , he succeeded him on April 9, 1983 as Bishop of Prince Albert. On May 26, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
