Laurent Morin

Laurent Morin (born February 14, 1908 in Montreal , Canada , † December 31, 1996 ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Prince Albert .

Life

Laurent Morin received on 27 May 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On September 8, 1955, Pope Pius XII appointed him . as titular bishop of Arsamosata and auxiliary bishop in Montréal . The Archbishop of Montréal, Cardinal Paul-Émile Léger PSS , donated him episcopal ordination on October 30 of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Montréal, Joseph-Conrad Chaumont and Lawrence Patrick Whelan .

Pope John XXIII appointed him on February 28, 1959 Bishop of Prince Albert. Morin attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council . On April 9, 1983, Pope John Paul II accepted Laurent Morin's resignation because of his age.
