Blake Nelson

Blake Nelson (born August 31, 1965 in Chicago ) is an American writer.

Blake Nelson spent his childhood and adolescence in Portland , Oregon . Today he lives in New York with his wife . He studied at Wesleyan University in Connecticut and Modern European History at New York University. Nelson is the author of numerous books for young people. He also writes for magazines such as the British "Cosmopolitan" and "Männer Vogue". His novel Paranoid Park was filmed by Gus van Sant and was awarded the special prize for the festival's 60th birthday at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
