The Blankenship Glacier is a steep glacier in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Royal Society Range, it flows north between La Count Mountain and the Bubble Spur to the Ferrar Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1992 after the US geophysicist Donald D. Blankenship from the Geophysical and Polar Research Center of the University of Wisconsin , who worked several times between 1978 and 1982 at Dome C station in East Antarctica and from 1989 for the Byrd Polar and Climate Research Center at Ohio State University .
