Blasius Thätter

Blasius Thätter (born March 23, 1936 in Großberghofen ) is a German local and state politician ( CSU ). From 1994 to 2008 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Career

Thätter attended elementary school in Walkertshofen from 1942 to 1947 and the Progymnasium in Schäftlarn monastery from 1947 to 1953 . In 1953 he moved to the humanistic Maxgymnasium in Munich, where he graduated from high school in 1956.

He then studied classical philology and German studies for teaching at elementary schools. From 1964 he worked for several years as a teacher at elementary schools. After the sudden death of his father in 1968 he took over the management of his parents' construction business. In addition to his academic training, he passed master craftsman's exams as a carpenter and concrete worker. From 1977 he pursued a two-year course in special education and was then from 1979 to 1994 a teacher at the district school in Dachau.

His political career began in 1972 with the election to the municipal council of Erdweg . In 1979 he joined the CSU and two years later was elected chairman of the CSU local association in Erdweg. He stayed in this position until 1999.
From 1980 to 1987 he was 2nd mayor in Erdweg. After the local elections in 1984, he also took on a mandate in the district council of the Dachau district and in 1990 chaired the CSU parliamentary group.

In the state elections on September 25, 1994, he entered the Bavarian state parliament for the first time as a direct candidate in the constituency of Dachau . He was re-elected in the 1998 and 2003 elections. For reasons of age, he did not run for the 2008 state election .

Thätter is married and has three children.
