Leaf cabbage

Leaf cabbage is the German umbrella term for various cultivars of the vegetable kale ( Brassica oleracea ). These varieties are bred for their large, dark, gorgeous and edible leaves , but also to beautify the garden - mainly in Brazil , Portugal , the southern United States , Africa , Montenegro , Bosnia and Herzegovina , southern Croatia , northern Spain and India . The leaf cabbage belongs to the same cultivars that include kale and early cabbage , to which it is also genetically very similar.
