The Blau-Weiß Beelitz (full name: Sportgemeinschaft Blau-Weiß Beelitz 1912/90 eV ) is a sports club from Beelitz in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district . The first women's soccer team played in the Regionalliga Nordost from 2014 to 2018 and took part in the DFB Cup three times .

history

The club was created in 1990 through the merger of BSG Empor Beelitz and ASV Beelitz and offers badminton , soccer , gymnastics , handball , bowling , rope skipping , table tennis and volleyball .

In 2009 the soccer players were promoted to the fourth-class Brandenburgliga, where the team immediately became runner-up behind the third team of the 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam . In 2011 Beelitz became Brandenburg champion, but renounced the promotion round to the regional league. A year later, the team defended their title and again waived the promotion round. In 2013, Blau-Weiß finally won the third state championship in a row without losing points, but failed in the promotion round to the second team of LFC Berlin and MSV Wernigerode .

Although the team lost the final of the state championship against the Potsdamer Kickers in 2014 , they were allowed to take part in the promotion games to the regional league because the kickers waived. Here Blau-Weiß beat 1. FFC Saalfeld and rose. In the first round of the DFB Cup 2014/15, the team lost 8-0 to FSV Gütersloh in 2009 . In 2018, the team was relegated from the regional league as bottom of the table.
