Chapter 2 - Secretly Entering the Soul Society
- BLEACH 尸 魂 界 潜入 篇 , Bleach: Sōru Sosaeti Sennyū-hen
In the second chapter Ichigo, Uryū, Orihime, Chad and Yoruichi try to get into the Soul Society (Seireitei), where Rukia is being held and awaiting her death sentence. To do this, they first go to Rukongai , where the normal spirits of the dead reside. The attempt to enter through the main gate from the front fails because they are thrown out by Gin Ichimaru and the gate then remains locked. So in Rukongai they are looking for another way to get to Seireitei. Yoruichi asks help from Ganju's sister, Kūkaku Shiba, who agrees to send her to Seireitei with a cannon. But first they are forced to learn to concentrate spiritual energy, otherwise they would not survive being shot down and landing. At the same time, the deadline for Rukia's execution, which is only 14 days, is approaching.
After a successful launch and a less than perfect landing, the friends get to the Seireitei, but are sometimes separated from each other. In their search for Rukia, they encounter individual Shinigami who stand in their way. They manage to win the first few fights. In the course of time, however, they encounter increasingly tough opponents. So Ichigo only just manages to defeat Renji Abarai, Rukia's former childhood friend, who ultimately even joins him. While Ichigo and his friends get involved in further battles against the Shinigami, Commander Sōsuke Aizen fakes his death and, together with his supporters, uses the distraction for his dark machinations.
Ichigo is meanwhile confronted with Kenpachi Zaraki, the commander of the 11th division. The long fight finally ends in a draw. Yoruichi, who previously took the form of a cat, finally shows Ichigo her true form, and it turns out that she was a former commander in the Seireitei. She hands Ichigo a device he can fly with. With it he saves Ganju and Hanatarō, who Byakuya, the adoptive brother of Rukia and commander of the 6th Company, are no match. Before the fight between Ichigo and Byakuya gets into the hot phase, Byakuya is stopped by Yoruichi.
The chapter had two preludes. This was the title * - Asterisk from Orange Range , already used in the first chapter , which was used for the first five episodes. The remaining episodes were given a new opening credits, which D-tecnoLife from Uverworld used as the theme music. The end credits of the previous chapter, Thank You !! by Home Made Kazoku , who was replaced by Younhas Hōkiboshi ( ほ う き 星 , also known as “Shooting Star”) from episode 26 onwards. The music of the credits changed again from the 39th episode. So happypeople was used by Skoop on Somebody for the remaining episodes of the chapter.

Chapter 4 - Bount
- BLEACH バ ウ ン ト 篇 , Bleach: Baunto-hen
The 4th chapter of Bleach deals with events that are not dealt with in the manga and is also called "filler". The action begins with the appearance of the so-called "Bount", a species that can become immortal by absorbing human souls. So far, they have adhered to the iron rule never to absorb living souls, but only dead ones. Since absorbing living souls can make a bount much stronger, Jin Kariya breaks this code with a group of subordinates. The Soul Society and a group around Ichigo Kurosaki notice this and start their hunt for the now dangerous Bount.
The opening songs in this chapter were on the one hand the song "Ichirin no Hana" by the band HIGH and MIGHTY COLOR, which was used in the third chapter, and on the other hand, from episode 75, "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" by the Japanese rock band Beat Crusaders . In this chapter, a new ending theme is used from the beginning, namely "My Pace" by SunSet Swish . In the credits you only see the "filler characters" of the Bount chapter, ie those characters that are only used in chapters 4 and 5 (the "Bount Saga") occur. The second end credits, used from episode 75, use “Hanabi” by the band Ikimono-gakari . The third and final credits, which were used from episode 87, use the song "Movin !!" by Takacha.

Chapter 5 - Bount: Attack on Soul Society
- BLEACH バ ウ ン ト ・ 尸 魂 界 強襲 篇 , Bleach: Baunto Sōru Sosaeti Kyōshū-hen
Chapter 5 is the seamless continuation of the fourth chapter in terms of content and tells the second half of the so-called "Bount Saga" (also called Bount Arc). The Bount have meanwhile penetrated the Soul Society and stay at the beginning of the chapter in the outskirts of "Rukongai" in order to get from there with the help of the souls living there to Seireitei, the inner district inhabited by Shinigami. This chapter ran on Japanese television from August 8, 2006, without a break after the 4th chapter, until January 4, 2007.
The opening song of this chapter was initially, as in chapter 4, "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight" by the Beat Crusaders and from episode 98 it became "Rolling Star" by the Japanese singer-songwriter Yui . The ending themes, which were changed in the same rhythm as the openings in this chapter, were the song "Movin !!" by Takacha, which was also used in chapter 4, and "Baby it's You", played by the Japanese R&B singer JUNE .

Chapter 6 - Arrancar: The Arrival
- BLEACH 破 面 ・ 出現 篇 , Bleach: Arankaru Shutsugen-hen
The 6th chapter of Bleach starts at the end of the plot of chapter 3 and thus continues the main story of Aizen's betrayal. It begins with the arrival of the so-called "Arrancar", Hollows, some of which have assumed the skills of a Shinigami and are thus the counterpart to Vizard, who, as Shinigami, were able to take over some of the properties of the Hollow and thus became stronger. This is exactly what Ichigo gets to know at the beginning of the chapter and finds out that he has become a Vizard when Kisuke Urahara made him a Shinigami again. The Arrancar, which are almost completely under Aizen's control and of which the 10 strongest are united under the name "Espada", appear in Karakura Town and cause unrest there. The rest of the chapter deals with first encounters with weak arrancar, so-called Numeros, and the protection of the city, for which a group of Shinigami was sent into the human world by the Soul Society.
In the Japanese broadcast rhythm, the broadcast of TV Tokyo was moved from Wednesday to Thursday from this chapter. The song “Alones” by Aqua Timez was used as opening songs in addition to the “Rolling Star” from Yui, which was already used in the Bount saga, up to episode 120 . The credits were accompanied by Mai Hoshimura's "Sakura Biyori" until episode 121, followed by "Tsumasaki" by Ore Ska Band . The last four episodes of this chapter are "fillers" and do not belong to the main story.

Chapter 7 - Arrancar: Entry into Hueco Mundo
- BLEACH 破 面 ・ 虚 圏 潜入 篇 , Bleach: Arankaru Weko Mundo Sennyū-hen
The 7th chapter of Bleach begins with 6 more filling sequences, which continue the "filler block" started at the end of the 6th chapter and then begins with the reopening of the main story. The chapter deals with the journey of Ichigo and some friends to Hueco Mundo, the kingdom of Aizen, in which Orihime is imprisoned. In addition, the chapter tells about Ichigo's meeting with Nel ( ネ ル ・ ト ゥ , Neru Tu ), a childlike Arrancar, who is proof that not all Arrancar are fundamentally his enemies. "Alones" by Aqua Timez was used as the opening song for the first twelve episodes, the remaining episodes began with "After Dark" by the Asian Kung Fu Generation . The song "Daidai" by Chatmonchy was used for the credits up to episode 143 , the remaining episodes ended with "Tane wo Maku Hibi" ( 種 を ま く 日 々 ) by Kousuke Atari .

Remarks
- ↑ a b c d e f g h The order of the fights in the manga was not always followed in the anime.
- ↑ Some of the titles have been translated directly from Japanese and some based on the English translation, which is why they differ greatly in their meaning.
- ↑ Ishida's attacks often have German names in the original Japanese. It is similar with the "Dolls" of the Bount: their names are all based on German words or names, and their owners conjure them up with the words "Show yourself!"
