Bliss is the first EP from the Swedish blues rock band Blues Pills . It was released on May 25, 2012 via Crusher Records.

Emergence

After the band had released a 7 ″ single with Black Smoke , the band received an offer from the Gothenburg- based record label Crusher Records to release an EP. The band had already recorded the four tracks on the EP as a demo . These were recorded by singer Elin Larsson, bassist Zack Anderson and drummer Cory Berry in the recording studio Righteous Dog Recordings in Ames . The recording of the rhythm guitar was shared by Anderson and Berry.

The recordings were then sent to Dorian Sorriaux, who at the time was still living in France , who recorded his guitar tracks there. Singer Elin Larsson then traveled to Sweden to finally record the vocals. The theme song Bliss is the only song in the band's history that contains lyrics in Swedish . The song is about careless use of the environment . For the EP cover, Zack Anderson made a collage from pictures he had cut out of old porno magazines .

The EP was published in an edition of 700 copies, which the band sold on a tour in Spain . Singer Elin Larsson stated that she gave away around 70 percent of these copies at the time. Because of the economic crisis in Spain at the time, many fans told her that they would like to have the EP, but that they don't have the money.
