Blood Stain Child is a Japanese melodic death metal band with trance influences from Osaka .

history

Originally called Visionquest , the band was founded in 1999 by singer Ryo, guitarists Ryu and Daiki, keyboardist Aki and drummer Violator. In August 2000, the group was renamed Blood Stain Child and began recording their first demo . The four-song demo was broadcast to a radio station. The DJ was so enthusiastic about their music that he organized a meeting with the record label M&I Company , which the band also signed.

The big breakthrough came in 2001 when two of her songs were picked up by professional wrestling . The World became the anthem of wrestler Kensuke Sasaki and Steel Flame became the theme song for the 30th anniversary of the NJPW , a professional wrestling group.

In June 2002 their debut album Silence of Northern Hell was released and in the fall of the same year they played as the opening act for Dream Evil on their Japan tour.

In order to adapt their music to their European idols, the band turned to Finnish producer Anssi Kippo in 2003 , who took over the work on their second studio album Mystic Your Heart .

In March 2005 Daiki left the band and was replaced by Shiromasa in April. In the same year they recorded their third album Idolator . This time the Danish producer Tue Madsen did the mastering . In 2006 they signed a record deal with the German record label Dockyard 1 , under which the album was released across Europe.

At the beginning of April 2007 the band got reinforcements from singer Sadew and guitarist GSR. In July their fourth studio album Mozaiq was released, which was again produced by Tue Madsen.

On June 12, 2010, Ryu announced on his blog that Sadew was leaving the band for personal reasons. A short time later, the drummer Violator got out. In September, the Greek Sophia was introduced as the new singer and Gami as the new drummer.

Their fifth album εpsilon was released on June 15, 2011 .

On July 21, 2012 it was announced that Sophia was leaving the band as the lead singer. On December 3, 2012, the band introduced Kiki as a new singer.

On January 29, 2014, the single "Last Stardust" was released.

Music style and influences

Blood Stain Child combines elements of dance and trance with melodic death metal . Their musical style at the beginning of the band's history was compared to that of Children of Bodom in an interview . You yourself name heavyness, aggressiveness and beauty as principles in songwriting. In an interview from 2011 techno metal and futuristic metal were mentioned as a frequently used description of their music and the new singer Sophia was asked about her definition, which she gave with Alien invasion! gave.
