Bloodlights
Bloodlights is a rock band from Oslo , Norway . It was founded in 2006 by Captain Poon, the former guitarist of Gluecifer .
history
As a co-founder, Captain Poon played guitar in the hard rock band Gluecifer since 1994 , which broke up in 2005. Less than a year later he founded the band Bloodlights, where he also took on the role of lead singer. The first single, One Eye Open , was used as part of the soundtrack for the Norwegian horror film Cold Prey .
Three albums were released by 2013. On October 9, 2015, the Bloodlights released the EP Somebody Else's Nightmare under Captain Poon's own label, Konkurs Productions .
In 2016 Captain Poon was on tour as guitarist with Marky Ramone's Blitzkrieg .
On May 26th 2017 the fourth studio album Pulling no Punches was released , also under bankruptcy Productions . Nicke Andersson was involved in the production .
Influences
The musical style of Bloodlights is strongly influenced by the melodic rock of the 1970s and 1980s, with melodic vocals often combined with hard rock riffs, such as in Thin Lizzy . The band was also influenced by artists such as Judas Priest , Black Sabbath and AC / DC . Boogie rock tendencies can also be seen, influenced by Scandinavian rock bands in general and classic rock bands of the 1970s such as the earlier Status Quo and Cheap Trick .
