Christmas is a German punk band from St. Wendel .

Band history

Christmas was founded in 2010 by Max Mötherfucker together with Phil Lugosie, Max Winchester, Andy Alcohol and Busi Saintclaire (later called Nadine Motherfucker). The line-up had numerous changes, so the drum position was filled several times. From the original line-up, only Max Mötherfucker is left today. The band first made a name for themselves as a live band in Saarland and the surrounding area and performed with Turbonegro , Black Fag and Kotzreiz , among others . In 2011 the self-financed debut EP Satanic Rock was released as a 10 ", CD and MC. Among other things, there was also a strictly limited wooden box entitled Christmas Bloody Christmas . Then Tommy Crack joined the band as guitarist and Nadine Mötherfucker as bassist.

In 2012 a picture disc with the band Bronson Norris and a split 7 "with Dead Scarlet followed. In 2013 the band released a track on the Turbonegro tribute album Omega Motherfuckers . In the same year the debut album Appetite for Selfdestruction was released via Kidnap Music . Outro is Happy Tom from Turbonegro and their second album Loose Your Illusion was released on May 8, 2015 , again on Kidnap Music.

In 2017 Nadine Mötherfucker left the band. She was replaced by Lobster Louie. In 2017, Tommy Cräck also left, and Crystal Mat took over the guitar.

Her third album Scum as You Are was released on April 6, 2018 via Kidnap Music.

style

As members of the Turbojugend , they started out with Turbonegro-heavy punk rock in order to develop their own style afterwards. As further influences names the band glam punk in the style of Trashcan Darlings , street punk like Poison Idea and Leftover Crack and hardcore punk in the vein of Negative Approach . The band plays fast punk rock, the vocals are reminiscent of 1980s hardcore punk. The texts mainly deal with subculture-typical topics such as sex, drugs and skateboarding . They call their style "Satanic Rock".
