Bloomingburg is a village in Fayette County , Ohio , United States . Most of Bloomingburg is to the southeast of Paint Township . The place had 874 inhabitants at the 2000 census.

Bloomingburg's geographic coordinates are 39 ° 36 ' N , 83 ° 24' W (39.607052, -83.394692). The place is east of the East Fork Paint Creek in the middle of fields and meadows. The Ohio State Route 38 runs through the place, whose branch route Ohio State Route 238 has its northern end point here.
