The Blue Star Patmos is a ferry of the Greek shipping company Blue Star Ferries , which entered service in 2012 and has been in service since then on the route from Piraeus via Chios to Mytilene .

history

The Blue Star Patmos was built under the hull number 7510 at Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering in Okpo and was handed over to Blue Star Ferries on June 12, 2012. On July 9, 2012, the ship arrived in Piraeus, from where it began service to Chios and Mytilene on July 10.

In the early morning hours of August 30, 2017, the Blue Star Patmos ran aground off the island of Ios and had to be evacuated due to ingress of water. After checking the damaged area, the ship was towed free on September 6, 2017 and moved to dry dock in Perama on September 9, 2017 .

The Blue Star Patmos is the youngest ship in the Blue Star Ferries fleet. She has an older sister ship with the Blue Star Delos, which was commissioned in 2011 .
