Boaz Kaizman

Boaz Kaizman (* 1962 in Tel Aviv , Israel ) is an Israeli artist . He has lived and worked in Cologne since 1993 .

biography

Boaz Kaizman studied from 1986 to 1988 in Tel Aviv at the Avni Institute at The Ramat-Hasharon Academy of Art. From 1995 to 1998 he attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy , where he became a master student in 1998 with Konrad Klapheck . Kaizman looks back on an international exhibition activity and is represented with his work by the Cologne gallery Mirko Mayer . Since 2006 he has been teaching as a lecturer at the MAD Faculty in Hasselt . His studio is located in the old fire station in Cologne .

2018, the film had leaping from Kaizman, Peter Rosenthal and Marcus Seibert premiere. The film, in the style of a graphic novel documentary, recreates the visits of the Jewish cycling manager Ernst Berliner to Cologne. The actor Jörg Ratjen gave Berlin a voice. Berlin's great-grandson Sam Alter, who had come to Cologne from the USA, was involved in the preparations for the film. In October 2018 the film was awarded the Golden Crank at the International Cycling Film Festival in Herne .
