Robert Glenn "Bob" Baumhower (* 8. April 1955 in Portsmouth ) is a former American American football poker players on the position of the defensive tackles . He played his entire career from 1977 to 1986 with the Miami Dolphins in the National Football League (NFL).

NFL

Baumhower was selected in the 1977 NFL draft by the Miami Dolphins in the second round in 40th place. In his first season he played all 14 games with the Dolphins as a starter. A season later, in 1978 , he scored his first touchdown after a fumble . Baumhower was elected to the Pro Bowl five times (1979, 1981-1984). With the Dolphins he reached the Super Bowl twice ( XVII and XIX ), both of which were lost. after the 1986 season he resigned as a football player.

On December 14, 2008, he was accepted into the Miami Dolphins Honor Roll , a banderole in the New Miami Stadium , which honors special players of the Miami Dolphins.

After the football career

Baumhower opened a restaurant in Tuscaloosa , Alabama in 1981 . There are now seven other branches in Alabama.

Baumhower is the uncle of football player Evan Mathis .
