Bob Hall

Bob Hall (born June 13, 1942 in West Byfleet , Surrey ) is a British blues and jazz pianist .

Live and act

Hall was a founding member of various British blues bands such as Savoy Brown , The Groundhogs , Tramp , The Sunflower Blues Band and The De Luxe Blues Band . He has also worked with musicians such as Peter Green , Danny Kirwan and Mick Fleetwood and can be heard regularly as a guest of The Blues Band with Paul Jones . He also accompanied American blues musicians such as John Lee Hooker , Howlin 'Wolf , Little Walter , Jimmy Witherspoon , Homesick James , Lightnin' Slim and Charlie Musselwhite .

Hall is considered by many to be England's top boogie-woogie pianist. He has performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival , among others . Ian Stewart , Hal Singer , Don Weller and Dick Morrissey , Alexis Korner , Charlie Watts and Jack Bruce played in his boogie-woogie big band Rocket 88 . In 2004 he founded "The British Blues All Stars", a blues band made up of various members of the greats of British blues music of the 1960s.
