Robert Daniel "Bob" Williams (3rd quarter 1902 in Brymbo ; † unknown) was a Welsh football player .

Career

Williams played in Wrexham local football for Rhos Church and Brymbo Green in the early 1920s . In early 1924 he was brought into the team by the local professional club AFC Wrexham on an amateur basis after the club had to complain about an injury mishap and did not win the previous ten competitive games. Williams made his debut as a left winger together with center forward Arthur Hughes on February 9, 1924 in a goalless draw against AFC New Brighton in the Football League Third Division North , both of which were certified by the Athletic News to have made "a positive impression". The Liverpool Echo judged the debut of the two amateur footballers, who had "hardly played more than village football", but much more critical: they were "hardly at the third division level" and were "disadvantaged with their physique".

On the following two game days, two more missions as a right winger followed against Grimsby Town (1: 1 and 0: 0). After a few more appearances in the reserve team, he returned to Brymbo Green at the end of March . In the summer of 1924 he was invited by New Brighton to a trial training session, but he continued his footballing career at Llandudno FC , but was still on the Wrexham registration list for the 1924/25 season. In March 1926 he joined the club Oswestry Town , playing in the Birmingham & District League , where he was also included in the 1926/27 season.
