Bobby Falta
Bobby Falta (* 1941 in Salzburg ) is a German jazz guitarist .
Falta, who has lived in Memmingen since 1945 , is influenced as a guitarist by Barney Kessel and Wes Montgomery . He first played with Joseph Reinhardt and then in different groups with Schnuckenack Reinhardt . He was best known for his quintet, of which he was a co-founder in 1967 and in which he has been the solo guitarist since 1972. In 1975 he left this quintet to work with Zipflo Reinhardt , Pony Poindexter , Frank St. Peter , Wolfgang Lackerschmid , Wolfgang Lauer and Ingo Hirt. Together with his son Lancy (* 1965) he plays in the guitar duo, which received the City of Memmingen's Culture Prize in 1994, and is joined by Peter Bockius in the trio. In addition, he runs a junk and antiques shop.
