Bobby Selvaggio

Bobby Selvaggio (born June 5, 1969 ) is an American jazz musician ( saxophone , clarinet , flute ) and music teacher.

Selvaggio holds a Bachelor of Music from Kent State University and a Masters in Jazz Performance from the Manhattan School of Music . Then he worked a. a. with Kenny Werner , Joe Lovano ; he also played in the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. After living in New York City for four years, he returned to his hometown of Cleveland , recorded a number of albums under his own name, taught and wrote a book on jazz improvisation. He is the founder of the Aurora Center for Jazz Studies in Aurora, Ohio . His album Grass Roots Movement was released by JazzTimes included in the list of the 50 best jazz albums of 2011.
