The film is about Olive (Shanna McCullough), the owner of a movie theater, and the aging actor Jeremy Dayton (Jamie Gillis), who comes to small town to promote My Alien, My Love , a cheap monster B-movie . The film is also about Sheri (Nikki Tyler) and her relationship with her boyfriend (Steven St. Croix). Actor Dayton stages a kidnapping to draw attention to his film. He disguises himself as an alien and pretends to kidnap Olive's daughter Sheri in order to "scare" the citizens of the city.
The film that can be seen on the screen during the scene in the cinema is Blonde Justice 2 from 1993, also by Paul Thomas.

Bobby Socks or Bobby Sox are short girls' socks that are worn rolled down, they became popular in the early 1920s when the skirts became shorter so that the ankles could also be seen.
