The Bocksberg is a mountain in the Franconian Forest near Judenbach in the district of Sonneberg . It is exactly 696.5 m above sea level. NHN high. The Bavarian border is only a few kilometers away from the Bocksberg.
Although the mountain is in the state of Thuringia and therefore in the Thuringian Forest Nature Park , its physical and geographical location no longer belongs to the Thuringian Slate Mountains in the narrower sense .
