The house Bockstraße 14 is a listed building in the city of Quedlinburg in Saxony-Anhalt and serves as the rectory of the St. Benedict community .

It is located northeast of the town's market square at the confluence of Bockstrasse and Breite Strasse and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site . It is registered as a rectory in the Quedlinburg monument register.

Architecture and history

The two-storey building was erected in 1878/1879 as the parish preacher's house. The design came from the government architect Annecke . The facade of the house is a brick facade in the neo-Gothic style . Towards the corner in front of the upper floor there is an oriel crowned by a pointed gable . There is a column between the coupled windows of the bay window. There is also a decoration with tracery .

The portal on the courtyard side of the property is remarkable, the door leaves of which are lavishly decorated with baroque carvings. It is one of the most magnificent portals in Quedlinburg and dates from around 1700 from a previous building.
