Bodo Kaltenboeck

Bodo Kaltenboeck (born December 15, 1893 in Stuttgart , † November 5, 1939 in Kritzendorf near Vienna) was an Austrian writer.

Life

Bodo Kaltenboeck was one of six children of the Austrian writer Johannes Kaltenboeck (1853–1927). During the First World War he was an officer in the Austro-Hungarian Army. In 1933 he became editor of Heimwehr newspapers and Heimwehr poets. Later he turned to the illegal NSDAP . His war novel Army in the Shadow (1932) and The Unfug in the Ortenau (1937) have literary significance .
