Boestofte is a Danish town with 254 inhabitants (as of January 1st, 2020). The village is located in the parish Havnelev ( Havnelev Sogn ), which until 1970 belonged to Harde Stevns Herred in what was then Præstø Amt . With the dissolution of the Harden structure, the parish was included in the Stevns municipality in the former Storstrøms office , the municipality in turn went with the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 in the expanded Stevns municipality in the Sjælland region .
Boestofte is about four kilometers northwest of Rødvig and about five kilometers southwest of Store Heddinge .
Due to the expansion of the built-up area, the village had more than 200 inhabitants for the first time in January 2010 and has since been included in the table for localities by Danmarks Statistics .
