Bogense is a town with 3990 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2020) on the Kattegat on the north coast of the Danish island of Fyn ( dt. : Funen ) located. The city is a separate parish ( Bogense Sogn ), belonged to 1970 smallest as Fyns town with market rights for Harde Skovby Herred in the former Odense office and was then the administrative center of bogense municipality in the former County of Funen , in the course of municipal reform on 1 January 2007 in Nordfyns Kommunehas risen in the region of Syddanmark . The administrative seat of this municipality is also Bogense.
Bogense received the market rights in 1288 from the Danish King Erik VI. Menved . Today Bogense is a tourist-oriented small town with three campsites and many holiday homes. Bogense has the largest marina on Fyn with 760 berths .
