Boggy Creek II: And the Legend Continues is an American animal horror film directed by Charles B. Pierce from 1985.

action

Brian C. "Doc" Lockhard, professor of cryptozoology at the University of Arkansas , and his students Tanya and Tim and Leslie's girlfriend Leslie set off for Texarkana , where they buy ammunition. They want to find the ominous Boggy Creek creature that was spotted not far in the swamps. Not far from the Sulfur River they find a headless deer and Tim suspects that the animal has become a victim of the creature. On the way there, Doc tells them about the old WL slogan who once believed he saw the Boggy Creek creature on his farm. He suspects that the creature is currently particularly active because a certain flood situation forces it to search for food in public.

The group pitch their tent in the swamp area. Doc reports on Otis Tucker, who was attacked by a being one night after a car broke down but never regained consciousness to provide more specific details. Doc activates the computer he has brought with him, which can display large living beings as dots within a radius of 200 meters. Next to Tanya and Tim, who are acting as test subjects, a third dot suddenly appears on the screen and disappears before Doc can identify it. Doc and Tim meet the creature at night. Doc tries to neutralize it with a tranquilizer rifle, but the creature simply blocks the arrows. To calm the panicked women, Doc also tells the third story about the Boggy Creek creature, who once surprised Oscar Culpotter on the outhouse.

In the village, not far from their resting place, Doc and the others meet Deputy Williams, who was recently surprised by the creature and a smaller creature while gutting fish. Both beings stole his fish, but did nothing to him. Williams advises them to see Old Man Crenshaw, who is said to see the two creatures very often. While Doc and Tim first try to follow the trail of the Boggy Creek creature from their campsite, Leslie wants to flee the swamp. She incites Tanya to flee with the jeep, but both women get stuck in the mud. Here they are surprised by the creature at night, but are able to flee back to the camp. The next morning the group takes a boat to Old Man Crenshaw. It behaves strangely and burns down large piles of wood at dusk. He eventually shows Doc that he caught the smaller of the two creatures. She is very weak; Doc concludes that the big Boggy Creek creature was only aggressive because it wanted the little one back. During a thunderstorm, the large creature attacks Old Man Crenshaw's house. Tm holds the man at bay with a pistol while Doc hands the creature the injured little creature. The next morning, Old Man Crenshaw realized that his behavior was wrong and that both creatures should live in freedom. Doc, in turn, suspects that he will hesitate to tell others about his encounter with the Boggy Creek creatures.

production
