Boiko Tsvetanov

Boiko Zwetanow , also Boiko Zvetanov , Bulgarian Бойко Цветанов (born June 14, 1955 in Sofia ) is a Bulgarian opera singer ( tenor ).

Life

education

After studying at the State Conservatory with Professor Hadjiev in his hometown, Tsvetanov was able to win prizes at international competitions in Bilbao and Sofia . This enabled him to attract attention at a young age and in the same year (1988) was signed as the first tenor at the Sofia Opera House. He played the central tenor roles in works such as Rigoletto , Aida and Attila and was able to make his debut at the Vienna State Opera very soon (1989). At the same time, however, he continued to take private lessons with Boris Christoff and Carlo Bergonzi .

Artistic work

Zwetanow has been engaged at Zurich Opera House since the 1991/92 season. Here he sang all the major roles in his field, such as in La Bohème , Luisa Miller , La forza del destino or Pagliacci . Tsvetanow is a guest at all major theaters in the world, but especially in the European-speaking area.
