Location of Bokel in Halle (Westf.)

Bokel is a district of Halle (Westphalia) in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Gütersloh . The predominantly rural area with the Bokler settlement built in the 1970s is located in the southwest of the city of Halle. On January 1, 1973, Bokel was incorporated into Halle.

Tatenhausen Castle , whose orangery was built according to plans by Johann Conrad Schlaun , is located in the once independent rural community . The Hainbund poet Friedrich Leopold zu Stolberg-Stolberg lived in the castle from 1810 to 1813 .
