Boku wa Imōto ni Koi o Suru ( Japanese 僕 は 妹 に 恋 を す る , eng. "I love my younger sister") is a manga by the Japanese artist Kotomi Aoki , which was adapted as a film and original video animation .
content
The plot revolves around the two twins Iku Yūki and Yori Yūki, who fall in love with each other despite their relationship. Yori initially hides his love for his sister and tries to stay away from her and to fall in love with other girls. When he has a conversation with Iku about relationships, he reacts so jealously to a comment from her that he confesses his love to her. But she doesn't want to lose him as a brother.
publication
The manga was first published in Japan from May 2003 to August 2006 in Shōjo Comic magazine . The publishing house Shogakukan also brought out the individual chapters in ten anthologies. A French translation of the manga was published by Soleil, and it has also been published in Taiwan, Korea and Spain.
From September 2005 to August 2008 a spin-off under the title Boku no Hatsukoi o Kimi ni Sasagu appeared in the same magazine. The manga comprises a total of twelve volumes and has also been translated into French, Spanish and Chinese.
Adaptations
OVA
In 2005 Zoom Enterprise and Vega Entertainment produced an original video animation based on the manga. The director was Yukiyo Teramoto, the character design was created by Mayumi Nishimoto and the artistic director was Makoto Dobashi. The music comes from Susumu Ueda. The 50 minute long anime was released on DVD on May 18, 2005 in Japan.

Movie
The manga was adapted as a film by Toshiba Entertainment in 2007 , directed by Hiroshi Andō and produced by Shogakukan , Toshiba Entertainment, Zoom Enterprise and Nippon Television . It was released on January 20, 2007 in Japan and on June 1, 2007 in Taiwan. The main roles are played by Jun Matsumoto (as Yori Yūki) and Nana Eikura (as Iku Yūki).
