action
Young Alex McNetti suffers from a rare, painful and incurable bone disease that keeps him bedridden . Despite the self-sacrificing care, wife Kristen is at a loss. His best friend Thomas makes it his business to stop the progression of the disease and find a temporary solution. He then secretly steals bones and body parts from the local cemetery , his place of work. Not knowing that some of his “bone donors” are contaminated with something unknown, Thomas uses them from now on to produce a promising bone marrow preparation. He then mixes the finished substance with fresh meat so that the supposed miracle drug Alex can be served as a meal. The questionable fitness maker does not seem to get the patient. The medication has serious side effects. From then on, the affected person suffers from diarrhea; He also vomits worms at regular intervals - all symptoms of a slow process of decomposition. The death row inmate ultimately mutates into a zombie , an undead creature with an insatiable appetite for human flesh.
Almost at the same time, the graves in the cemetery are contaminated with an unknown chemical. Contact awakens the dead, resurrects them and wanders bloodthirsty. Subsequently, the revenants appearing en masse , they are mainly zombies, try to kill the population. The epidemic activities lead to bloody slaughter and massacres. In the confusion of those arguments, Kristen, Thomas and his wife are also killed or infected.
At the end of the film, Alex has to explain himself as a monster in front of an obscure tribunal, demon-like supernatures who once rose together with the zombies and have controlled them ever since. The real rulers of the underworld hold Alex accountable for his crimes - he attacked corpses and disturbed their rest - and destroy him. They then ring in the apocalypse .
criticism
The lexicon of international films was not enthusiastic: "Superficial zombie film with drastic effects, which is based on the Italian school" of the 1970s. A low-budget film for the tough. "
