The Bonfiglioli Riduttori is an Italian manufacturer of gears, gear motors and drive electronics , based in Calderara di Reno near Bologna ( Emilia-Romagna ).
Data
The Bonfiglioli Group achieved a turnover of around 600 million euros in 2010 with around 3000 employees. In 2010, Bonfiglioli employed almost 300 people in Germany. The head office of Bonfiglioli Riduttori SPA is in Bologna . The headquarters of Bonfiglioli Deutschland GmbH are located in Neuss .
history
In 1956, Clementino Bonfiglioli (1928–2010) founded a supplier company for transmission parts in Bologna. In 1964 Bonfiglioli developed the RAE two-stage planetary gearbox . In 1975, Bonfiglioli Trasmital, an Italian manufacturer of planetary gears for construction machinery , pitch and azimuth drives, was taken over and, at the end of the 1970s, an electric motor production facility in Bologna. Bonfiglioli expanded its business area in 2001 with the takeover of the German converter manufacturer Vectron Elektronik and in 2003 with the takeover of Tecnoingranaggi , a manufacturer of low backlash planetary gears. The expansion course was continued in 2005 and 2008 with the opening of geared motor plants in Bystrica, Slovakia, and the opening of a plant in Ben Cat Binh, Vietnam, for the production of electric motors.
After his death in June 2010, Clementino Bonfiglioli's daughter Sonia Bonfiglioli took over the operational management.
At the end of 2015, Bonfiglioli took over 55% of O&K Antriebstechnik
In mid-2016 Bonfiglioli sold its solar business to Ingeteam.
Products
Due to its expansions and company takeovers, Bonfiglioli offers all drive technology products:
Transmission typesThe transmission types are combined with each other so that, for. B. bevel helical gear. |
Electric motors
The electric motors are also offered in combination with an electric motor and are then referred to as gear motors. |
Power electronics
The combination of gear, electric motor and frequency converter is also offered as a servo gear . |
Applications
Bonfiglioli produces between 1.5 and 2.0 million gearboxes per year, making it the European leader. The gearboxes are both standard gearboxes and individual solutions depending on the area of application. Gearboxes are produced in a power range from 20 Nm to 1,000,000 Nm. The range of applications is correspondingly large. The range of applications is divided into the areas of photovoltaics and industry as well as mobile drive technology and wind power.
- Photovoltaics
Bonfiglioli Vectron produces power electronic components for photovoltaic technology. These are, for example: inverters , string connection boxes and data loggers . On the mechanical side, there are also actuators that are used as tracking systems so that the solar cells follow the movement of the sun.
- Industry
In the industrial sector, gearboxes, geared motors, electric motors and converters from Bonfiglioli are used. The areas of application can be found wherever something is rotated or swiveled. This starts with parcel tapes in the airport, conveyor technology in the manufacturing industry and right up to chairlifts in ski areas.
- Mobile drive technology
Bonfiglioli has an extensive tradition in the field of mobile drive technology. The range of mobile drive technology products is concentrated on geared motors with a high power density, specifically on the combination of planetary gears with hydraulic motors. Applications are, for example: travel drives for wheels and chains (series 600 and 700C), slewing drives for excavators and cranes (series 700T), drives for cement mixers (series 500) and drives for [cable winches] (series 800)
- Wind power
Bonfiglioli has a market share of 30% for pitch drives and yaw drives for wind turbines (2009). The first German offshore wind farm in the EEZ " alpha ventus ", which went online in April 2010, is equipped with pitch and azimuth drives from Bonfiglioli Trasmital .
