Borepine is an unsaturated heterocyclic chemical compound . It is the simplest seven-membered unsaturated boron- containing heterocycle and thus the parent compound of the borepines. 1 H -Borepin is isoelectronic with the tropylium - cation .

Borepine can be generated from the corresponding chloroborepine and tributylstannane by Cl-H exchange .
