Christoph Radakovits

Christoph Radakovits (born 1988 in Vienna ) is an Austrian actor who has been engaged at the Vienna Burgtheater since 2015 .

life and work

Radakovits studied business administration for a year after graduating from high school and doing community service. In 2008 he switched to theater , film and media studies at the University of Vienna . In 2011 he began studying acting at the University of Art in Graz . During his studies, he worked on the production demoni of the performance group G-FART in Ljubljana and was hired for two roles at the Graz Schauspielhaus : as ER in Gott ist ein DJ by Falk Richter (director: Katrin Hiller) and as Paul in Katzelmacher by Rainer Werner Fassbinder (Director: Nina Mattenklotz). The latter production also made a guest appearance at the Theatertreffen German-speaking acting students in Munich, where it was awarded the ensemble prize. In the 2014/15 season he completed his last year of study as a studio member at the Chemnitz Theater , where he was seen in productions by René Schmidt and Carsten Knödler.

He has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since 2015. He made his debut with great success - alongside Ignaz Kirchner and Marie-Luise Stockinger - in Heiner Müller's Hamlet machine , which was staged by Christina Tscharyiski in the vestibule of the house. Radakovits play "with youthful heart and soul," wrote Die Presse .
