Marie-Luise Stockinger (born September 27, 1992 ) is an Austrian actress who has been engaged at the Vienna Burgtheater since 2015 .

life and work

Stockinger is the daughter of the insurance manager Josef Stockinger and has three siblings. She made her debut in 2010 in various roles in Wedekind's Spring Awakening at the Landestheater Linz , directed by Holger Schober . She then completed an acting training at the Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna , which she completed in 2015. During her training, she played at the Reinhardt Seminar in Medea and in the Rue de Lourcine affair , Miranda in Shakespeare's Der Sturm and the title role in Wedekind's Lulu , and most recently in Albert Camus' Das Misunderstanding . At the Nestroyhof Theater in 2013 she was seen in Handke's Der Ritt über den Bodensee . At the International Theater Schools Festival in Warsaw in 2015 she received the "Best Leading Role Award" for portraying Lulu.

She has been a member of the Vienna Burgtheater ensemble since 2015.

She also took on smaller roles in the Austrian television series CopStories , directed by Michael Riebl , and in the TV version of the Burgtheater production of Hermann Bahr's Das Konzert , staged by Felix Prader .

For her portrayal of Irina in Three Sisters at the Burgtheater, she has been nominated for the Nestroy Prize 2016 in the category Best Young Women .

In 2017 she stood in front of the camera in the title role for the two-part TV series Maria Theresia by Robert Dornhelm . As part of the 2018 Romy Awards , she was awarded in the Best Young Women category.

She embodied the role of Hildegard Burjan in the television documentary Die Unbeugsamen - Drei Frauen und Ihr Weg zum Wahlrecht (2019) by Beate Thalberg from the Universum History series .
