Boris Alexandrowitsch Tschaikowski ( Russian Борис Александрович Чайковский , scientific transliteration Boris Alexandrovič Čajkovskij ; born September 10, 1925 in Moscow ; † February 7, 1996 ibid) was a Russian composer .

Music studies

Tchaikovsky acquired his basic musical knowledge at one of the most renowned music schools in Russia, the "Gnessins Moscow School of Music". Among his teachers were such well-known composers as Nikolai Mjaskowski , Wissarion Schebalin and Dmitri Shostakowitsch ( composition ) as well as Lev Oborin ( piano ).
