Boris Juraga

Boris Juraga is an American art director and production designer who won an Oscar for Best Production Design .

Life

Juraga began his career as an art director and production designer in the film industry in 1959 for the film La cento chilometri and worked on the staging of twelve films until 1980.

In 1964 he won the Oscar for best production design in a color film, along with John DeCuir , Jack Martin Smith , Hilyard M. Brown , Herman A. Blumenthal , Elven Webb , Maurice Pelling , Walter M. Scott , Paul S. Fox and Ray Moyer , namely for the monumental film Cleopatra (1963) by Joseph L. Mankiewicz with Elizabeth Taylor , Richard Burton and Rex Harrison in the leading roles .
