Born in the Echoes is the eighth studio album by the British duo The Chemical Brothers , who are considered the best-known representatives of the big beat electronic music genre .

The album was released worldwide on July 17th, 2015 under the Virgin EMI label . The album reached number 10 in Germany and number 1 in the UK.

Reviews and media coverage

The album was received quite positively by the German media, so it was given eight out of ten points in the review of Spiegel-Online, Musikexpress.de gave the album four out of six stars. In the UK , however , Born in the Echoes had more media coverage with mostly positive reviews. In an interview with the British newspaper The Guardian , the band made it clear that this album is not intended to be compared with today's EDM (electronic dance music) , since every EDM song in America would sound "like Benny Benassi ". Rather, the intention was to give the listener a wide range of different types of songs, ranging from psychedelic rock to techno to house .
