Boshi San , whose real name is Joachim Scheuerer , is a German singer and rapper .

biography

Boshi San grew up as the son of a jazz bassist and began working as a rapper and singer in 1998. In addition to his work as a solo artist, he has also been a member of the hip-hop band Raggasnoda Click and one of the three rappers in this band since 2001 . In 2006 his first EP Boshido was released . Following took 58Beats both Boshi San and his band under contract. Followed in 2007 with Dragon Saga 's debut album Raggasnoda Click. This album is a kind of radio play spoken by Michael Mendl .

Over 58 beats he got to know Roger Rekless , with whom he founded the Crew Team Makasi . Their debut mini album was released in 2009 under the title Until one gets it . In 2010, Boshi San's solo debut album HeRB followed. The abbreviation stands for "Herzensgießungen einer Funk-loving Raggasnoda Brother" and is an allusion to the poet Ludwig Tieck . In the same year he can also be heard as a guest on the album One by the ska and funk band Capones.

Boshi San has won the audience award of the 6th season of the on3 launch ramp of the Bavarian Broadcasting Corporation . In September 2012 the album Makasi was released in self-distribution.

In his private life, Boshi San studies German and describes himself as a “ nerd ” in his subject. His brother Friedrich Scheuerer is a jazz musician and keyboard player . He also plays with Team Makasi.

Music genre

Boshi San mixes his rap singing with soul and pop elements. In his texts he tries to add consumer criticism and works on social and philosophical topics. He is also looking for a more artistic approach and tries to remain musically open to all influences. The different projects lead in further directions, so Team Makasi mixes rap vocals with more rocky sounds and the Capones are more of a jazzy-funky band. Due to his complexity and his more intellectual texts, he is perceived by the media and fans as a “ student rapper ”, a label that actually doesn't suit him.
