The Bosnian-Herzegovinian U-17 national team is the official selection of the best U-17 football players from Bosnia and Herzegovina .

history

In the U-17 European Championship qualification 1997–1998, the Bosnian-Herzegovinian U-17 national football team took part in a qualification for the first time. Bosnia-Herzegovina took 4th place and was eliminated early.

Up until the U17 European Championship qualification 2006–2007 in Spain, the Bosnian youth national team was eliminated every time in the first qualifying round. But in 2006–2007 everything should change. In the qualification, they surprisingly achieved first place in Group 11. Slovakia came in third, Wales and Moldova came fourth . But in the elite round one could not prevail and was 4th place. The first went to England , second to Serbia and third to Azerbaijan .

Another year later they were back in the elite round. In group 7 you met the Netherlands , Hungary and Norway . In the first game, Bosnia defeated the Netherlands 1-0 with a goal from Fazlic. The second game against the Hungarians ended 2-2. In the third game against Norway, Bosnia was able to take part in a U-17 European Championship for the first time with a win, but they lost the game 2-0. However, the U-17 remains a minor success. In 2006 they won the Balkan Juniors Cup in their own country. They defeated Slovenia 2-0 in the quarter-finals. Croatia was eliminated in the semifinals after an exciting game in the semifinals. After normal playing time it was 1: 1 when everything was decided in extra time with a 4: 3. In the final they won against Turkey 1-0, the goal fell here in the first minute.
