Botnneset (Norwegian for ground nose ) is a mainly icy peninsula on the Prince Harald Coast of Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . It is located between the bays Fletta and Djupvika along the south side, correspondingly the "Grund" or "Boden", of the Lützow-Holm Bay . Its eastern, elevated section is the Austhovde headland .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 .
