Boto of Querenburg

Boto von Querenburg is an author collective of several mathematicians , most of whom worked at the Mathematical Institute of the Ruhr University Bochum . Boto is an abbreviation for "Bochum Topologists" and Querenburg is the district of Bochum in which the university is located. Members of the author collective were Gunter Bengel, Hans-Dieter Coldewey, Klaus Funcke, Edelgard Gramberg, Norbert Peczynski, Andreas Stieglitz, Elmar Vogt and Heiner Zieschang .

The textbook Set Theoretical Topology, published in 1973 in the series Hochschultexte of Springer Verlag , is still one of the standard works of topology today .
