Francesco Botticini
Francesco di Giovanni Botticini (* around 1446 ; † July 22, 1497 in Florence ) was an Italian painter . During his lifetime, his pictures were considered decorative and highly valued. Botticini often imitated the works of his contemporaries Botticelli and Filippino Lippi .
Significant works
The painting The Three Archangels and Tobias , created in 1470, is exhibited in the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence . The painting The Three Archangels with Little Tobias , created after 1485, can be seen in the Alte Pinakothek of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen .
Two of his works are in the Louvre , the painting "Tabernacolo di San Sebastiano" is one of the most important sights of the collegiate church of Sant'Andrea in Empoli .
